The McLaren 650S 'One of Seven' by Markus Storck
A few years ago in 2015, Markus, in collaboration with McLaren's Special Ops division, designed a sensational series of seven bespoke McLaren 650S Spider supercars, each a unique masterpiece and limited to just seven in existence.
The McLaren 650S Spider, was finished in a captivating matte bronze finish that dances with the sunlight. Hidden beneath this delicate exterior resides the powerhouse: a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8, summoning an astounding 641bhp. In a pursuit worthy of the innovative bike designer, the car underwent a rigorous regimen of carbon fibre panelling, resulting in a staggering 40kg reduction from the standard model's weight.
Markus Storck described the vision "The project aimed at making the McLaren ONE OF SEVEN a unique automobile sculpture. A vehicle that appears to be subdued in tonality and then a unique bronze masterpiece in the sun or artificial light." That very same bronze graces the 2015 Storck Aernario Pro Matt Aeratus/Black Signature frame-set which sold out in record time.
All seven of these McLaren limited edition marvels have since found their fortunate owners as well as selling at the time for $665,000 AU$ each.
Marcus Storck continues to collaborate and innovate in the field of design and innovation, and who knows if we’ll be talking about a visionary bike design, super car or office blind next.
